What do you do at BI:PROCSI?
I’m the Head of Engineering at BI:PROCSI, and my role revolves around ensuring that our team and clients are set for success both technically and strategically.
What initially attracted you to working for BIPROCSI?
I joined BI:PROCSI quite early in the company’s journey; at that point, I wanted to be part of a small startup team to help me grow. BI:PROCSI didn’t disappoint :)
How has your role at BI:PROCSI contributed to your personal and professional growth?
Since day 1, I have consistently been given the tools and the space to grow learn and drive my own growth and career the way I wanted. Daniel Haville and Marianne Brits-Strodl have always allowed me to move to different “lanes” in the business.
What do you enjoy most about working for BI:PROCSI?
The team and the ‘we can do everything’ attitude from everybody in the team.
How would you describe the BI:PROCSI culture?
I’ve seen the culture move through different stages while being here, but the main constant is the people and the collaboration.
What sets BI:PROCSI apart from other organisations in our industry?
BI:PROCSI is at the scale-up stage at the moment; the opportunities are there for anybody ready to go for them. We pride ourselves on going fast and delivering quality.
How does BI:PROCSI support employee work-life balance?
Working hours are flexible, and the management team is trying to accommodate everybody’s flexibility requests. We only work twice a month from the office, and the rest of the days we work from home.
What opportunities for advancement and career development are available at BI:PROCSI?
As I mentioned earlier, at BI:PROCSI, you are the primary driver of your career. If a role/skill makes sense for the team and your personal career, you can go for it.
What advice would you give to someone who is interested in pursuing a career in data?
For people that are just starting, forget the technologies, different vendors etc.; you can learn those skills as you go. Focus on the fundamentals of the data. When you nail down the fundamentals, the rest is practice.
