Ratul has over 13+ years in the industry, specialising in relational databases, cloud computing, and Python, C++, and C# programming. His data analysis skills using Python, machine learning expertise using R, and Tableau data visualisation skills have been honed over the years.

In addition to his technical expertise, he has 5+ years of experience as a senior/lead business analyst, allowing him to communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders throughout project lifecycles effectively.

What do you do at BI:PROCSI?

I am a Senior Data Engineer at BI:PROCSI.

What initially attracted you to working for BIPROCSI?

I was keen to work for a consultancy, where I have opportunities to work in different technology stacks, in different industry sectors. Being in an environment which offers opportunities to constantly build technical and domain knowledge was a huge draw for me.

How has your role at BIPROCSI contributed to your personal and professional growth?

This is my first role where I am bringing together all my previous incarnations (software engineer, business analyst, data scientist, data engineer) into one. It's not always easy, but that's the challenge and journey I am relishing.

What do you enjoy most about working for BIPROCSI?

For me it's the opportunities to work in different technology stacks and industry domains. And to supplement that, BIPROCSI is hugely supportive of our professional development. We are actively encouraged to get certified in the technogies we are working with. It's seen as a win-win for me as an individual and BIPROCSI.

How would you describe the BIPROCSI culture?

Collaborative. We are a group of committed professionals who recognise we have much to learn from each other and at the same time support each others' development. Management encourages us to get exposure to areas outside of our area of expertise, so we have a fuller appreciation of the end-to-end business. This diversity of experiences on projects enables us to support each other and help with each others' blind spots.

What sets BIPROCSI apart from other organisations in our industry?

I'm relatively new at BIPROCSI (I joined 3 months ago), and also newish to consulting. However what is evident to me is BIPROCSI is committed to it's clients and we are passionate about designing, implementing and delivering solutions that are transformational for them.

How does BIPROCSI support employee work-life balance?

BIPROCSI recognises and respects that we have lives and commitments outside of our professional responsibilities. We are not expected to be working long hours...if that's happening any more than sporadically, there is another root cause that management tries to get to the bottom of and resolve.

What opportunities for advancement and career development are available at BIPROCSI?

BIPROCSI is at a phase of its growth trajectory whereby as the organisation grows, there is a good probability to align that to an individual's career aspirations. If you can articulate where you want to be heading, management works with you to create a path that's a win-win for both.

What advice would you give to someone who is interested in pursuing a career in data?

It's a very fast moving sector, so one must not only accept change and keep abreast of current trends... one must embrace them. You must thrive on constantly learning.
