What is your role, and what will you be responsible for at BI:PROCSI?

As Head of Software Engineering, I will be responsible for enabling technical delivery and scaling our platforms and teams. A key focus will be strengthening engineering excellence, supporting delivery, and ensuring we build reliable, scalable, data-driven solutions that deliver value to both our clients and the business.

Can you share your journey and experience in software engineering leadership that led you to where you are today?

I’ve been leading engineering teams for almost 20 years, primarily in environments focused on improving both delivery speed and engineering quality. I’ve been fortunate to work with excellent teams who consistently rose to the challenge and delivered significant improvements together.

One of the key areas I’ve focused on in previous roles has been helping teams move towards true continuous delivery, where every change can be safely and automatically released to production while maintaining high standards of reliability and control.

Alongside delivery and technical transformation, I’ve also placed a strong emphasis on building and retaining high-performing teams. I believe that comes from creating an environment where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to do their best work — which ultimately leads to stronger outcomes for everyone.

What were the key factors that influenced your decision to join BI:PROCSI?

What attracted me to this role is the stage BI:PROCSI is at right now. There’s a genuine opportunity to shape and scale the engineering function as the company continues to grow, and that kind of challenge is something I find incredibly energising.

When you're not leading engineering teams or driving technology initiatives, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I used to cycle a lot, and these days I enjoy practising yoga. More recently, I’ve been learning to play the piano — although I’m still very much a beginner! I also focus on keeping fit and I’m a big Formula 1 fan.
